PetSafe Paw Print Blogger Summit 2013

Mom packed our bags and drove us to the airport.  She told me we were visiting one of my favorite companies -  PetSafe!
PetSafe makes lots of things, including Lickety Stiks, and the Premier treat pouch that Mom wears everyday.
We flew on Delta Airlines to Knoxville, TN.  When we arrived at the Knoxville Airport, we were met by a friendly driver from Chariots of Hire.  He loaded everyone's bags on the bus, and brought us to the Homewood Suites by Hilton.
Look at all of the furrific welcome goodies PetSafe had in our hotel room.  Some for Mom and some for me!
I sampled my goodies right away.  BOL!  I enjoyed a yummy Indigo Fresh Stick, fresh flowing water in my Pagoda Fountain, and a comfy heated bed.
The next morning, we visited the PetSafe headquarters.  Guess what!  Their customer service phone center is right there in the building, in Tennessee!  We walked through it to get to the training room.  Even better, the people are allowed to bring their dogs to work with them.  There were dogs under desks, and in beds, all over the place.  It was Pawsome!  All of the people were really nice, and smiled a lot.  I think having their dogs with them makes them happy.
Inside the training room, there were tables along the walls displaying lots of furrific PetSafe products.   They make the wonderful Drinkwell fountains, Train n' Praise Potty pad & remote treat dispenser, Busy Buddy toys, Premier accessories, Frolicat toys, pet doors, invisible fences, remote trainers, kennels, Indigo dental treats, Lickety Stiks, and more!
PetSafe believes in innovation.  They designed a door specifically to work with Lowe's new Iris Smart Home system.  You can control the system from your phone!   PetSafe introduced the PASSport pet door earlier this year at Global Pet Expo 2013.   The PASSport can be programmed for up to 20 different pets.
We had lunch with Randy Boyd, the CEO and Founder of PetSafe's parent company, Radio Systems Corporation (RSC).   Randy explained about PetSafe's values and how important openness & honesty are to him.   We saw the PetSafe Paw Print wall of achievements that displays the RSC company's milestones.   We also learned about PetSafe's many philanthropic donations.  They have donated several beautiful dog parks in the Knoxville area.  They also donate dog parks across the country through their annual Bark for Your Park campaign.
One of the dog parks is across the parking lot from PetSafe Village.  PetSafe Village is a 24 hour boarding facility.  They also provide daycare, grooming, training, and serve as a stop over on long distance pet transports.   I was amazed by the kitty playroom.   It has so many things to climb on!
We (the 3 blogging dogs who were there in furson) received pawsonalized buckets of fresh baked cookies when we arrived for our tour of PetSafe Village.   I ate one when Mom and I went back to the hotel, yummy!
We went on a tour of the University of Tennessee Veterinary school.  It is huge!  They have specialists for every field of veterinary medicine, and a separate area for large animals like horses & tigers.   PetSafe provided the water treadmill that we saw in the small animal area.
On our last night, PetSafe treated us to a genuine Tennessee mountain bonfire with live music and BBQ!  Yum!   We had the most pawsome time with our PetSafe pals.   I was exhausted by the time we flew home.   I was napping in the airport.  BOL!
I am so happy that my PetSafe goodies survived the flight home - unharmed!   While Mom was unpacking the suitcase, I jumped in.   Do you think I am ready to go back to PetSafe?

Disclosure:  I received the trip to visit PetSafe for free.  There were no strings attached to the trip.

  7. How fun and you get to fly with your mom. I am too big and not a service dog, so no flying for me. What a great adventure.

    1. I suppose you would have to drive to go places. Too bad they don't sell big dog tickets for the cabin. I suppose it is because the big dog crates wouldn't fit.

  9. My comment seems to have disappeared. Anyway, it took me longer to get here than it took you to fly to TN and back. Love your fountain. Wonder if they'd send me one to review. Prolly not cos everybuddy knows I don't drink water. BTW, you'd get a lot more comments if you got rid of the Capcha thing. It's hard to read and most blogger won't even try to leave comments.

    1. I am sorry your comment disappeared. I didn't get to see it. I have to keep the captcha code. Every time I turn it off, I get flooded with spam. I tried to just disable anonymous, but then too many pals couldn't login to comment. They weren't even trying to do it anonymously. I wish there were a easier way to block spammers, but still allow pals to comment.
