Hartz Blogpaws Swag - Pet Product Review & Giveaway

My pals over at Hartz have been busy this year!
They released a new, more absorbent piddy pad, and will release 2 new toy lines this Fall!  Pawsome!
I was able to get a super early sneak peak in February when I was at Global Pet Expo.   They let me have a pack of their new Ultra Guard pads to try.   When I went to BlogPaws in May, I received a special goodie bag that contained a toy from both of the new toy lines.  The toys haven't been released yet.  I feel special!  Happy Pommie wiggles!
No Mom, you may not have my Skelanimals bunny.
Hartz has the pawfect toys for Halloween - Skelanimals!  Mom says they remind her of  Goth.  BOL!!  I don't know Goth, but if he squeaks I'll play with him too.  BOL!!  My Skelanimals toy squeaks!  The Skelanimals web page says his name is Jack
Jack is a squeaky bunny!  He is a great size for me to play with.  I like to bite his back to make him squeak!  BOL!!
The Simpsons are celebrating their 25th annifursary this year.   To help them celebrate, Hartz is releasing a line of Simpson toys for Christmas!  I think they will make pawsome stocking stuffers!
I have the long head Bart toy.   He has loud honk squeak!  I love that sound!  BOL!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You know I am a piddy pad expert by now.  BOL!!   I happily peed on the new Hartz Ultra Guard pads.  They can hold a lot!  (I used some during my CritterZone test.  Mom left them on the garage floor for a whole week to make sure we had a strong pee smell for that test.)  I peed on one pad every night for a week, it kept absorbing.   I had a clean pad right next to it, but I chose to use the same pad over and over.  BOL!!   My little puddle is about the same size as Mom's 2 oz water test.  During that week, that one pad absorbed more pee than a water-bottle holds of water!
(2 oz X 7 nights = 14 oz.   bottle of water = 12 oz)

Mom did the 2 oz water performance test to the Hartz Ultra Guard Pads.   The results:  It had a small use area - outlined in blue; the filling puffs as it absorbs; it absorbed quickly & was dry to the touch; and the wet filling shifted slightly when the pad was lifted.
Hartz Ultra Guard pads feature Flash Dry technology that instantly turns pee into gel.   I am impressed with how fast they absorb, and how much liquid these pads can hold.

My BlogPaws Hartz goodie bag contained several products.
I decided to share some of them in a giveaway!

    1. BOL!!! Of course my Bart toy is still alive and squeaking! I don't destuff my toys. Sometimes Mom needs to replace a squeaker after a while, or sew closed a tiny fingertip size hole. Baron's monkey is in Mom's sewing bag. It is 3 years old. It has a small hole from too many games of tug. BOL! The hole is probably my fault since Baron is even more gentle than I am. I'd blame the cousins, except they would have done too much damage to repair. BOL!!
      Hugs,
      Pepper

    1. Hi Sugar, the FUR is the FUR Fetcher. It is a pawsome deshedding comb for short/medium coated breeds. My Pommie fluff is too thick and long for any tool with teeth shorter than an inch. This tool would be pawfect for Lab/Golden/Beagle/Shepard/Doxie/Rottie etc types of fur. I would not recommend it for Pommie/Sammy/Keeshond/Chow/Sheltie/Yorkie/Maltese/Tzu etc type of fluff. The FUR Fetcher has plastic teeth that do not cut the fur the way tools with razor blades do. I think it would do less damage and still remove dead undercoat.

You have a furrific post about Marge's head! :) I can't wait to see which Skelanimals was in your goodie bag!

      Hugs,
      Pepper

  6. Holy moley! That's a lot of moisture in one pee pad! I'm going to have to tell my mom, since she uses pads for her Shih Tzu. And I love Bart's head!

  7. Wow, Pepper, you are so gentle with your toys. I love your video and review. If anyone would be an expert tester of piddy pads, it would be you.

  8. We love Carrie the pony. We have a soft spot for our hooved friends. The Simpsons, good gravy, they can't be that old already!
We had to use piddy pads for when Huffle was a sick boy some months ago. We keep them on hand just in case.

  9. Pepper's mom is the luckiest thing alive! Non-stuffies or big rope-balls are almost the only thing that Vlad & Barkly can be given if you expect them to last more than 5 minutes--and those few things still won't last over a couple of weeks. *sigh*

  10. OK - I REALLY like Jack the Bunny! Cute! The pee pads sound like a baby diaper lol. They have the same gel stuff inside of them. Pretty good idea.

  14. I don't have a favorite skelanimal, I did know the Simpsons were 25 years old (I watched them on the Tracy Ulman show), and I have used piddly pads for my dogs before.

  15. Patrick is our favorite Skelanimals character. Yes, I knew that the Simpsons were 25 years old. And I use piddy pads for my 5 little ones :)

  16. Oh yes! Our mommy-maid is very picky about which kinds of piddle pads we use. She puts them anywhere we have a 'history' of going, and then we find a new place to go. It's the best game ever! (She would like us to add a disclaimer that it's not fun, nor is it a game...for her maybe.
