Litter One - Pet Product Review

How am I going to review a litter system when I don't have a cat?  Easy, I asked my pal Morris to do it for me.  BOL!!   The Litter One was shipped directly to his house.
My name is Morris and here is our story about the Litter One.
It arrived on June 19th.
I am part of a family of 9 cat's. The 3 oldest are 12 year old girls. Two of them are litter mates.  Then me, I am an 11 year old boy. The next girl is 11 years old.  Next are 2 boys that are 6 years old.  Then a 4 year old boy and a 4 year old girl.   We are all fixed.   6 of us are declawed in the front only, and 3 of us are not declawed.
We have all grown up using and liking clay.   We have five litter boxes in four different room's.  Mommy cleans through them twice a day, and whenever there is an offending odor.
Mommy and Dad unpacked our Litter One, and got it set up. Ours did not have a little bag holder as it shows on the box, but it did have two roll's of poop bag's.
Dad does not like the smell of the pine pellet's, he's used to the clay smell.  Mommy put the Litter One in the utility room beside the regular clay litter box.   On day one, none of us was interested in the Litter One.   On day two, some cat did at least walk around in it.   There were a couple of pellets on the utility room floor and in the kitchen, but no cat has used it yet. I don't think any of us like it.

Then, on day three, we started using the Litter One and now we like it!  Mommy was surprised and happy when she discovered the damp spot and some poop.   It would be good for any cat to try the Litter One box.   It is also great for when a person gets a kitten for the first time, they should consider the Litter One.   My cat family and I use both kind's now - the pellets and the clay. The pellets do not smell as bad as wet clay, and it's easier to clean up after than the clay.   In clay, you have to dig and scrape.   In the Litter One you just pick up the poop and the damp litter goes down the holes in the box.   At first we thought we wouldn't like it, but it seems to be a cool set up! It is also earth friendly.  You can compost it! Anything for the good of the earth must be good.

We give it 4 paws up!!

I'd like to add a few notes from the Litter One website:
 100% Recyclable - 100% Biodegradable - 100% Decomposable box, scoop & bags

This image is from the Litter One website.  I wanted to show you the Patented Floor System.
Litter One uses a Patented Floor System to separate pellets that have been soiled with urine. Gently stir pellets with your scoop and/or shake box from side-to-side, front-to-back. Soiled particles will drop through the Patented Floor system.

I think it is furrific that the pellets dissolve into sawdust when they are soaked with urine.  Then the sawdust falls through the holes in the false bottom.    The Litter One system should last about 4 to 6 weeks for one healthy (non-diabetic) cat.   Mom wishes Litter One had been available when she still had a cat.   BOL!   This would be pawsome when you travel with your cat.  You could pack a nice clean unopened Litter One, use it at your destination, and dispose of it there instead of traveling with a used litter box.  Mom remembers that the plastic pans still retained a faint "bathroom" odor even after they were emptied and washed.

  2. Good job, Morris! If we had kitties in our house (and I didn't try to kill them!), mommy would try the Litter One!

  3. Sounds interesting. I especially like that it is 100% biodegradable, recyclable, and decomposable. I don't have a cat, but I still like it. :)

  4. Well, Morris, that was a fine review of the Litter One. That sounds like a great potty system for cats...I may have to mention it to a few friends around town.
